Two people, understood to be a mother and her toddler, have been struck by lightning in Queensland’s rural Far North.
Queensland Ambulance said two patients are in a serious condition following a lightning strike at a home in Mareeba, west of Cairns, just after 3.30pm local time on Friday.
The boy and the woman, who is reportedly in her 30s, were taken to Mareeba Hospital.
